As an update to our previous article where lolo7777777 activated the new Lil Kinz Chickadee, Webkinz Floppy Pig, Webkinz Eagle, and Webkinz Chipmunk, she has been the first member of Webkinz Insider to activate the Webkinz Sheep, as well! We're assuming that her Webkinz is a wanna-be "Serta Sheep", hence the clever name "Serta"!
Have a look at the new addition to her family along with the PSI and PSF, the Counting Sheep Machine and Creamy Steamed Kudzu, respectively. Congratulate her on her newest adoption!!
This week the Webkinz World Newspaper announced that the Clubhouse had officially reopened. Unfortunately only a small percentage of our members have been able to get in to check it out. Frustrated with the "Clubhouse Blue Screen", many members have sent e-mails to Ganz asking about this problem. Here is a copy of the standard response they have been receiving:
Quote:
you have inquired about receiving a blue screen when trying to enter the clubhouse. This may be caused by increased activity within the clubhouse area. An alternative resolution to this problem is to turn on your kinzchat phone before first attempting to enter the clubhouse. If this does not resolve your current issue then please try to enter the clubhouse at another time.
The Large Size wCares Seals we told you about last month have started arriving in stores. Previously, wCares plushies had only been sold at Walgreens which, as many of you know, does not exist in Canada. So, this will be the first chance for many of our Canadian members to get their hands on those special little red tags.
The Large wCares Seal is the first Large Size Webkinz to be a part of the wCares program and it is the only wCares Webkinz to be sold at stores other than Walgreens. This Large Size Seal will NOT be sold at Walgreens as those stores are only carrying the Lil Kinz plushies.
Thanks again to our friends at http://www.ameriwade.com for telling us last month about the pending release of these plushies.
This time it's Pomeadrone Punch and it can be made in the blender by combining Blueberries, Pickles and Honey!
There's still 6 secret recipes that haven't been solved, head into our recipes section in our forum to work together with other members to solve the rest!
Congratulations to WI Member lolo7777777 on the addition of the new Lil Kinz Chickadee, Webkinz Floppy Pig, Webkinz Eagle, and Webkinz Chipmunk to her online family. Although we were able to show you pictures of the Pet Specific Items for these Webkinz a few days ago as they appeared in the Webkinz Catalog, here are the first in-game images of them, and the first officially released images of their Pet Specific Foods.
The Chickadee has the Stuffed Caterpillar Calamarata and the Treetop Lamp. The Floppy Pig has the Mud Pie Flapjacks and the Flop N' Slop Bathtub. The Eagle has the Flying Fish Fricassee and the Majestic Soaring Sofa. The Chipmunk has the Sweet Peanut Pie and the Acorn Barbecue.
Surprise Saturday is here and two new items have been added to the Webkinz eStore: the Big Pile of KinzCash Bed and the Zingoz Tree. You may remember that we brought you a picture of the KinzCash Bed earlier in the week as it appeared on a Trading Card Series 3 sticker. Also, four more charm codes are available for sale. They are the Pug, Tree Frog, Unicorn, and Wacky Zingoz charm codes.
UPDATE: A number of WI members who have purchased the Zingoz Tree have noticed that the in-game graphic is very different from the one shown in the eStore. At the moment, there is no indication that this is an animated item that might change. So, if you are interested in purchasing the tree, please take a look at this comparison of the eStore preview of the tree and a picture of the tree from WI member Donna's account.
Is the arrival of some new Webkinz clothing just around the corner? WI member disney717 thinks there might be. She was looking at her Trading Card Series 3 stickers today and discovered pink boots and a gold flowered skirt she hadn't seen before. Could this be a sneak peek like we got with the KinzCash Bed? We'll have to wait and see.
We had hundreds of entries into our Webkinz Insider Orioles Art Contest and some of our users came up with some really original and amazing entries!
Congratulations to our lucky forum member,Yoshi. Their entry in our Orioles Art Contest has been randomly selected to win the Lil' Kinz Black Lab with the Orioles bandana, which will be sent to them directly from the Baltimore Orioles!
There's still about 100 entries left for the Trivia Contest, so you still have a chance to win one! The thread with details on the trivia contest can be found here: http://www.webkinzinsider.com/forum/...a-t370268.html
It's free to join our forum and enter, so hurry before the 1,000th entry is reached!
Also, don't forget that the first 10,000 fans 14 and under that enter the park for the August 26th game will receive the exclusive Webkinz Lil' Kinz Black Lab with bandana, courtesy of the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). Tickets for the 7:05 p.m. Orioles vs. White Sox game start at just $8 and are available by calling 888-848-BIRD.
Since the introduction of the new game, Smoothie Moves, into Webkinz World on Wednesday, there's been quite a few WI users playing it for hours at a time. Some of our users were already experienced with playing this game, since they were "Zuma addicts" not so long ago, and are now being punished.
You see, these Zuma addicts used to stay up late into the night and play for hours and became what we like to call "Zuma Wizards", which, apparently is a punishable offense in Webkinz World. Have a look at how quickly a Zuma Wizard can play in this Youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch
Yes, the wizards are really THAT good at it, and it translates directly into their skills in Smoothie Moves. And, as you can see below, these kinds of skills in Webkinz World just aren't "reasonable".
One of our Wizards, shanhop, got to level 23 with a score of 132,000, and was supposed to be awarded 532 Kinz Cash but got this instead:
Another of our Wizards, mom-2-3, got to level 19 with a score of 94,440 with 377 Kinz Cash and got the same message:
After seeing fellow Wizards being punished, our staff Wizard, COWS4YOU, decided to create a new strategy: keep her Wizard status hidden and die early!
At this time, we aren't sure what the high score cap is on the new game, but we do know that anything below COWS4YOU's score will be considered a "reasonable" score and it's safe to stay at or below her score. We hope that we can save some of you the frustration of playing for 40+ minutes and not being awarded Kinz Cash!
UPDATE (08/23/2008): Thanks to research done by WI member mom-2-3 today, who played and died off at different levels on purpose to test the game, we can now tell you that you can safely reach up to 80,000 points and still receive your KinzCash. mom-2-3 hasn't completed her testing, so the final number could end up being higher than that. She's going to keep playing and will let us know what she finds.
Thank you to Webkinz Insider member jdb10887 for letting us know that three new clothing items have been added to the KinzStyle Shop. You can now pick up the Sleeveless Hoody (195KC), the Sleeveless Hoody Set Pants (195 KC), and the Varsity Jacket (300 KC). Fluffy had to dash out to the store to pick up the Varsity Jacket. Remember, you must have an unused KinzStyle Shopping Bag in your dock to visit the KinzStyle Shop. You can get these bags by entering the codes that come with the plushie clothing.
According to the Webkinz World Newspaper the Clubhouse is now open and "KinzChat PLUS is BACK!" However, if you still can't get into the Clubhouse, don't worry. You are not alone. We took an informal survey of the accounts belonging to the Webkinz Insider staff and their family members, and less than 25% of those accounts are able to get into the Clubhouse at all. The other accounts are still getting stuck on the blank blue screen. These numbers seem to mirror the reports we have been getting from inside the forum.
Hopefully the programmers at Ganz will have everything worked out soon, but until they do, remember, there is still a ton of stuff to do in Webkinz World outside of the Clubhouse. And, if you are looking to chat with other Webkinz World members, feel free to come on in and post in our forum. Membership on Webkinz Insider is free. And, for qualified members, our Gift Exchange is always open.
And, in totally unrelated news, the Jar of Super Jellybeans, prize from the Jellybean Challenge, can now be placed in refrigerators. Members who are lucky enough to have these items in their docks can now store them safely and not have to worry about accidentally feeding them to a hungery Webkinz. Thank you to WI Member cozmic for this picture.
NOTE: The cake in the picture is Amanda Panda's Spicy Chocolate Cake. It's a Trading Card Series 3 item.
